The Challenge

The Australian Mushroom Growers Association (AMGA) engaged Kimberlin Education to develop a child-friendly, fun and interactive online Mushroom educational platform. The Mushroom Schools Education Program aimed to provide multi-component interventions to increase students’ understanding and appreciation for mushrooms.

The Solution

Conduct a teacher focus groups and online survey to ascertain teacher and student’s needs.
Create 5 distinct mushroom characters and animations to support the program.
Design and create an educational website to showcase the primary education program and resources.
Creation of marketing assets, program logo and style guide.
Foundation - Year 6 teacher guides and supportive digital and interactive student resources and worksheets.

The Impact

The AMGA educational resources covered the unique biological and nutritional properties of mushrooms The update of the program ensured it met the needs of AMGA learners and educators.
